The Daily Missal was officially published on Friday of last week, and as we speak, a distribution company is sending out the pre-orders.
We hope it will serve the faithful and we thank all those who support our work, and have made this and all our publications possible.
Just as we promised, we now offer a cover for it, which will be available at the end of April, similar to the cover which you can buy for the Sunday Missals. The cover adds to the beauty and durability of the volume.
They are priced just £17.99 each – place your pre-order here.

Marion DurninI am very disappointed not to be able to buy a Daily missal with a leather cover.
It seems incredible that no such item is available. Could you please tell me if you intend to produce a leather-bound version of the dily missal? A zipped cover is no substitute.
Kind regards,
M. Durnin

sfinaldiDear Marion,
There are no plans to produce a leather-bound Daily Missal, as the cost of such an item for customers would be very high.
Thanks or your enquiry

Felicity SteadHow much will I have to pay if I order a CTS Daily Missal cover from you?

rbrown£17.99 inc. VAT, exc. postage. See http://www.cts-online.org.uk/acatalog/info_CV02.html. Please note that there are long delays in supply at the moment due to a backlog of orders and insufficient manufacturing capacity in our suppliers to keep up with this.

sfinaldiGreat, please just follow the links on the page – e.g click on the picture – or go direct to our website and search for “Daily Missal Cover”. Bear in mind, due to supply issues, you would probably get your Missal cover sometime in June.
Thanks for the enquiry.

michaelWith the imminent proclimation of the raising of St. Hildegard of Bingen as a Doctor of the Church are there any plans at CTS to publish a booklet about her? Many thanks

sfinaldiShe was in fact the subject of one of the earliest CTS publications which was printed in 1904, but there are no plans to do anything new at this stage.
Thanks

michaelThat is a pity. So few people have heard of Hildegard of Bingen and now in October shw will be proclaimed a Doctor of the the Church. It is very interesting that the CTS way back in 1904 devoted a publication to her. Perhaps a revised reprint might enrich your readers? Blessings.

David NicollThank you CTS for a lovely volume. And absolutely agree with Kevin – it is great to see the Latin there along with the musical notation. The editors clearly worked very hard to put it together.

MichaelI really appreciate all the hard work CTS has put into such quality editions of the new translation of the Missal. I think including the Latin texts, where possible, is a real treat for many of us. As one of your subscribers has already noted, the Latin texts add little to the bulk. Just compare a CTS Sunday Missal with any of its rivals and there is little difference in bulk. There is a bulk issue with the 7 day Missal which, in virtue of its contents, is unavoidable. Perhaps CTS will consider, when reprinting time comes round, to publish the volume without the Sundays. That will mean a companion volume to the Sunday Missal which will be of more manageable size. But please do not ‘dumd down’ the Missal by eliminatinmg the Latin. Even if the barbarians are massing at the gates of Rome!!!!!

Yvonne SullivanPlease when may we expect a new translation missal which does not include the Latin ? MOST OF OUR PARISHIONERS ARE OVER SIXTY AND DO NOT WANT THE LATIN WHICH MAKES THE MISSAL HEAVY TO CARRY AND WHICH THEY WILL PROBABLY NEVER NEED ??

sfinaldiAt the moment, there are no plans to publish one without the Latin in it. However, I will pass your comments on to our editorial team.
Thanks

Kevin JonesThe latin accounts for such small proportion of the printed book. We are the Latin Rite Church and of course we ought to be using the language more oftenl. It is a shame that the older generation are dismissive of what we younger people crave more of!
